Cesare Paciotti was born in Civitanova Marche, Italy under the sign of Capricorn. Paciotti's profound attraction and love for accessories was born right at home as his parents, Cecilia and Giuseppe Paciotti, owned a local shoe factory that manufactured high-end shoes. As a teenager Paciotti had a strong passion for music, specifically the Rolling Stones, Jimy Hendrix, The Doors and Patty Smith who all left an indelible mark on his childhood as they pushed him to expand his creative abilities by playing the organ. Cesare Paciotti's love for art drove him to attend one of Italy's most renowned colleges, the DAMS in Bologna. During his studies Cesare Paciotti refined his artistic talents, along with his curiosity for all things art. Upon graduation, he traveled around the world to cultural landmarks as London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, New Delhi and Dubai. Throughout his travels Cesare Paciotti observed the foreign cultures as well as their different use of colors and flavors and developed a strong sense of style. By the time Cesare Paciotti returned home to Italy, he has a strong desire to transform his knowledge of the foreign worlds into something concrete. He took over his parents' business and launched his first men's collection with a unique taste that he decided to simply name Cesare Paciotti. The rigorous craftsmanship combined to his creativity resulted into a new revolutionary vision in the accessory field where men's shoes were no longer considered a simple practical item, but rather a necessary element that completes an outfit in an elegant and unique manner. Cesare Paciotti's innovative ideas and provocative designs have earned him tremendous recognition worldwide. Always open to explore new avenues, he established important friendships and collaborations with noted Italian designers Gianni Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Romeo Gigli and Roberto CavaIli. And today, further exploring new avenues, Cesare Paciotti has expanded to include a women's line that is derived from a woman who is attractive, strong, sophisticated and modern; qualities that are all very apparent in his women's collection.

Prada is an Italian fashion label specializing in luxury goods for men and women (ready-to-wear, leather accessories, shoes, luggage and hats), founded by Mario Prada.
The company was started in 1913 by Mario Prada and his brother Martino as a leathergoods shop - Fratelli Prada (English: Prada Brothers) - in Milan, Italy. Initially, the shop sold leather goods and imported English steamer trunks and handbags.
Mario Prada did not believe that women should have a role in business, and so he prevented female family members from entering into his company. Ironically, Mario's son harbored no interest in the business, so it was his daughter Luisa Prada who took the helm of Prada as his successor, and ran it for almost twenty years. Her own daughter, Miuccia Prada, joined the company in 1970, eventually taking over for her mother in 1978.
Miuccia began making waterproof backpacks out of Pocone. She met Patrizio Bertelli in 1977, an Italian who had begun his own leathergoods business at the age of 17, and he joined the company soon after. He advised Miuccia—and she followed the advice—on better decisions for the Prada company. It was his advice to discontinue importing English goods and to change the existing luggage styles.
